BOLT LOCK HIGH STRENGTH FOR LARGE SIZED THREADS - RED - 50G (CARDED)
Features
- High-strength anaerobic formula — creates a permanent, rigid bond between threaded metal fasteners
- 50 g container — sufficient for several large-bolt assemblies
- Suitable for large bolts, studs and heavy fasteners — ideal for automotive, structural, industrial or heavy-machinery applications
- Works on steel and common ferrous metal fasteners — for maximum joint strength and longevity
- Cures between confined metal threads only — avoids premature curing; bond forms once parts are assembled
Benefits
- Permanent vibration-proof joints: resists loosening under heavy load, shock or continuous vibration.
- Enhanced structural reliability: ideal for critical assemblies in machinery, automotive components, structural frames or load-bearing joints.
- Reduced maintenance frequency: once cured, joints stay secure long-term, reducing need for re-tightening or retorquing.
- Prevents thread corrosion and fretting: fills micro-gaps and locks fasteners to minimize movement and wear over time.
- Cost-effective alternative to welding or mechanical locking devices: secure joints without needing special collars, lock-nuts or complex hardware.
Extra Information
- Ensure bolts and corresponding nuts or threaded parts are clean, dry and free from oil, grease or corrosion before applying adhesive — degrease if necessary.
- Apply a thin layer onto the male threads, then assemble and tighten the fastener as per specification; avoid excessive torque beyond recommended values.
- Allow handling after approx. 30–60 minutes; full bond strength typically develops within 24 hours depending on metal type and ambient conditions.
- Once cured, the bond is considered permanent — disassembly may require heat, mechanical force or use of solvents depending on joint design and maintenance requirements.
- Not recommended for small screws or lightly stressed assemblies — use a medium-strength threadlocker for those cases to allow easier removal later.
Pro Tip
- Use Bolt Lock for structural fixings, engine components, suspension bolts or heavy machinery fastenings — where joint stability and safety are critical.
- Ensure fasteners are correctly torqued before adhesive cures; re-tightening after cure may damage threads or compromise bond integrity.
